Tips About Money

Over at Online Trading Academy they have a great post about Money Tips from Experts. Getting tips from the best is always a good read. I wanted to give you some tips I learned from the post and what I thought about them.

Invest in yourself

This is a very important tip. You can’t grow without learning. Buy some books, take some classes, even buy a gym membership. You’re the most important thing you have. If you don’t invest in yourself then you’re limiting yourself.

Set it and forget it

The best way to save money is to not have to remember to do it. Automation is a very real and easy thing to do these days with the advances of technology. Set up a recurring transfer on your paydays and you’ll have saved up plenty of money without even knowing it.

  • I am curious exactly what the policy is incorporated in the most of American restaurants nowadays. Could it be more prevalent for servers & waitresses to “pool” all of their tips to ensure that all of the staff can be part of the total amount equally? Or perhaps is it more prevalent for that waitstaff to become permitted to personally keep whatever tips they earn?

I believe probably the most fair & equitable technique is permitting everybody to help keep the guidelines they earn. You will find no hard feelings this way, and everybody reaches generate the tips they DESERVE — iif you allow great service having a great attitude, you receive more tips! Otherwise, you do not. Simple as that! 🙂

I have even heard that you have a greater turnover rate in restaurants where waitstaff have to share their tips with one another, because a lot of hard feelings & conflicts happen, because of the slackers within the staff “sponging” from the hard employees and discussing in undeserved tip money. That will certainly suck. 🙁

I’d like to listen to anybody who works (or has labored) within the restaurant industry. Thanks!!
